Mounting the sample:
The sample crucible holder consists of three alumina clamping rods with notches. Two of them are fixed, while the third is movable. Pull open the movable rod, place the crucible into the holder, and secure it. Each rod has a notch that exactly catches the edge of the crucible. Gently rotate the crucible by hand to ensure its bottom fully aligns with the notches of the holder.
Hanging the rotor:
Hanging the rotor needle is a critical step and must be done gently. Given the internal structure of the viscometer mentioned earlier, to avoid damaging the jewel bearing inside the viscometer, you need to lift the hook when hanging the needle. This step is very important. When removing the hook, please note that the unscrewing direction is opposite to that of ordinary screws.
